The Tuolumne Meadows Lodge are located 60 miles from Yosemite Valley at over 8,700 feet above sea level. Here, you’ll find 69 canvas-tent cabins that are available from mid-June to mid-September, conditions permitting. Situated next to the Tuolumne River and near Tuolumne Meadows, it’s the perfect place to settle in after hiking in Yosemite—or before embarking on an extended backpacking trip. You’ll find the Tuolumne Meadows Lodge on Tioga Road, near the Park's eastern entrance on Highway 120 East.

Guest Services & Policies 

The 69 canvas-tent cabins are constructed with metal-frames and cement platforms and accommodate up to four guests.

Each cabin comes with:

  • 4 Single or Two Double Beds
  • Sheets
  • Pillows
  • Towels
  • Lanterns
  • Wood Burning Stove
  • Ample supply of firewood is available for sale

In keeping with the spirit of camping, there’s no electricity, televisions, or phones. Showers (for guests only) and restrooms can be found conveniently in the center of the camp.

NOTE: Firewood: To protect Yosemite from invasive species that live inside cut wood, we ask guests to purchase their firewood as close to their camping destination as possible. You can purchase local firewood at most stores in Yosemite. You can learn more at the National Park Service website.

Guest Services & Policies 

Meals at Tuolumne Meadows are served in the riverside dining tent, with a plentiful breakfast spread and dinner that’s sure to fill even the hungriest hiker. Dinner reservations are required, and can be made by calling 209-372-8413 before you arrive.

Box lunches are also available, and can be ordered for the next day. To help keep wildlife wild, cooking inside or outside the cabin isn’t permitted, however many Yosemite picnic areas offer fire rings with grills.
