High Sierra Camp Guided Trips
If you're not accustomed to hiking in the mountains—or simply want the comfort of an experienced guide who will share their knowledge and passion for hiking—guided trips through the High Sierra Camps are a wonderful choice. Scheduled multi-day trips are available with a guide. Custom guided trips through the High Sierra Camp Backpacking Campgrounds can be arranged through the Yosemite Mountaineering School, please call 209.372.8344. The Yosemite Mountaineering School guided trips do not include lodging at the High Sierra Camps.
NOTE: High Sierra Camp Guided Trips are available for any guest, but reservations must be made.
Guided Hikes
Five and seven-day guided trips take you from one High Sierra Camp to another. Because you'll be staying at the High Sierra Camps each evening where you'll enjoy the comforts of a tent cabin and chef prepared meals, you won't have to carry a heavy backpack with the tent, food or cooking supplies.
NOTE: These Guided Loop Trip Hikes are available only for guests successfully chosen in the High Sierra Camp Lottery.
How to Apply
Yosemite High Sierra Camps have been a popular destination in Yosemite National Park since they were first established. Because of the demand, we’ve created a lottery system for reservations. Applications are accepted in October for the following year. We email winners in the winter.
