The Fiery Glow of Horsetail Fall
Horsetail Fall is a stunning, seasonal waterfall on El Capitan's eastern edge. Each February, the setting sun creates the famous "firefall" effect, lighting the water in a brilliant orange glow; but it only lasts for two weeks. This rare phenomenon depends on clear skies and enough snowmelt for the fall to flow. Don't miss Yosemite's most fiery spectacle!
