History Meets Timeless Elegance

The Ahwahnee offers unmatched elegance in Yosemite. With iconic views of Half Dome and Yosemite Falls, stunning architecture, and rich history, this National Historic Landmark blends luxury with nature. Enjoy fine dining, artisan shops, and a heated outdoor pool.

The Ahwahnee is near completion of a seismic retrofit renovation project in partnership with the National Park Service to preserve this iconic hotel. During the last phase of the project (May - August), the impacted areas will be isolated to the West Terrace and surrounding areas near the Dining Room. This work will result in some obstructed views throughout the process, and we expect construction noise between 10 AM - 4 PM, Monday - Friday. We have done our best to mitigate any negative guest experiences throughout these final phases, though we recognize it may cause inconveniences and conditions not expected at The Ahwahnee. We thank you for your patience and understanding as this project is completed. Notice: The Ahwahnee is currently Valey Only. The Ahwahnee will not provide valet service with pets inside a vehicle. Only service animals are allowed inside the hotel and must be with their owner at all times. The nearest public parking is available at the Day Use parking in Yosemite Village.

- You can also use the Internet at the Mariposa County Library.
Curry Village, Yosemite Valley Lodge and The Ahwahnee:
- Internet access provided to only guests staying at the hotel.
NOTE: WiFi bandwidth is limited in Yosemite National Park. The WiFi is only recommended for checking email or some (very) light web browsing. Don't expect to be able to stream movies or download/upload large files. Enjoy the digital detox!
Cancellation Policy

Cancellations or changes in reservations must be received 7 days prior to reservation arrival date to assure refund of deposit. Refunds on cancellations or changes made less than 7 days in advance will be forfeited. Modifications or changes to reservations are subject to a forfeiture of the deposit if the number of nights is reduced.

We encourage you to contact our Front Desk or Concierge in advance if you need an early check-in. While we cannot guarantee rooms before 4 PM, our dedicated team will do their best to accommodate your request. We're here to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Deposit & Payment Policy

A deposit of 100% of the first night at the time of booking if paid by credit or debit card. Otherwise, 10 days to receive 100% of first night if paid by check or money order.
Pet Policy

Pets are not permitted on property, with the exception of service animals. Read about pets in Yosemite here.

Service animals will always remain with their owners and are not left unattended in guest rooms. This ensures the safety and comfort of both the animals and our guests.

Please note that a $250 cleaning fee will be applied if a non-service animal is brought into the room. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Smoking Policy

Smoking is strictly prohibited at all accommodations and buildings in Yosemite. While marijuana is legal for recreational use in California, please remember that Yosemite National Park is a federal enclave. Smoking marijuana is not permitted in Yosemite and may involve law enforcement. To help us maintain the pristine environment and ensure the comfort of all guests, a $250 cleaning fee will be applied for smoking in guest rooms. Thank you for respecting park regulations and helping us preserve the beauty of Yosemite.
