A Poetic Prelude to the Bracebridge Celebration

The seasons have now come full circle. The Valley is blanketed with peace.

We gather in convivial mood to revel, yet, as well, to pay tribute to nature's own tradition. For within the walls of this hallowed valley, where our hearts, restored, are filled with gladness, nature speaks of deepest peace.

Our souls, renewed by nature's grandeur and tranquility, affirm our desire for love and brotherhood to unite our world as we are here united in the harmony of music and nature.

Now, let our celebration start, with merry song and dance and sport, that all ye gathered together may show such tribute, as again is due, the God who gave all this around, that fills our hearts with joy profound!

  • Attire Guidelines Attire Guidelines

    The Bracebridge Dinner is the perfect occasion to dress formally. Men often wear tuxedos, and women opt for elegant gowns. At a minimum, we recommend a dark suit or cocktail dress. Please refrain from wearing costumes.

  • Great Lounge Festivities Great Lounge Festivities

    Before the The Bracebridge Dinner, guests can gather in The Ahwahnee's Great Lounge from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM to enjoy a champagne bar, music, and caroling. When the trumpets sound, guests will be invited to The Hall. To ensure a smooth seating process, please have your party assembled and tickets ready.

  • Electronic Devices Electronic Devices

    To maintain the theatrical atmosphere, cameras, cell phones, and electronic devices are not permitted during The Bracebridge Dinner.

  • Entering & Leaving Bracebridge Hall Entering & Leaving Bracebridge Hall

    Guests are asked to remain seated whenever house lights dim, bells sound, processions take place, or the Squire's chorus performs. Restroom breaks are permitted between courses or when The Hall's lights are fully illuminated. Re-entry will be timed to minimize disruptions.

  • Gratuity Gratuity

    Gratuity for The Bracebridge Dinner is included in the ticket price. However, if you purchase wine or other beverages at the table, it is customary to leave gratuity for the service.
     

  • Transportation Transportation

    Guests staying at Yosemite Valley Lodge are encouraged to use the special shuttle service to and from The Ahwahnee for The Bracebridge Dinner.

  • Children Children

    Due to its length, The Bracebridge Dinner is not recommended for children under ten years old.
